Farewell Demaris - We will miss you!
A message from Demaris:
"After I sent my announcement about leaving Cowork 1010, I had a lot of you asking me about my background and how I became a manager when my education is in Design Technology. In November 2019, I started with Office 1010 as their Furniture Design Specialist. The owners of Office 1010 also owned Cowork 1010 at that time. They used the 11th floor to show off their high-quality office furniture while also using it a coworking space for our fellow Indianapolis entrepreneurs. A few months into the job, the pandemic hit, the furniture dealership dissolved, and I was out a job. Long story short, I was offered a design position in Tennessee and just as I was about to sign my offer letter, I got a call from the previous owner. He told me that the manager of Cowork 1010 had moved out of state and the owner was referring me to the new buyers. When I spoke with the buyers, they informed me that they wanted me to manage the space while also having me build-out another floor with private office space. It sounded like a new challenge, and I was excited for it, so I came back home to Indiana! How or why they trusted me to run this place on my own at first, I cannot answer those questions, but here we are! I grew a lot as a person, and I have the awesome Cowork 1010 community and the owners as my mentors to thank!
As I turn the page to a new chapter, I plan to use my management experience from Cowork 1010 along with my design experience from previous jobs. I am excited to have that creative outlet again, but this is all very bittersweet. My coworkers, the owners, and the people of Cowork 1010 mean the world to me. Fortunately, I get to work from the space which means I will still get to see the lovely faces of Cowork 1010 and attend the awesome events! LaThay and Kennedy are going to keep the community thriving as they usually do. They are rockstars at everything they do, and they care so much about you all. As I said before, you all are in good hands! Thank you for making my time at Cowork 1010 special! “It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later.”"

Cowork 1010's Food Drive: November 1st - 17th
Stop by and donate any food, clothing, and hygiene products that you have! The donation box will be located on the 11th floor and all proceeds are going to HVAF of Indiana (Helping Veterans and Families).
Volunteer at HVAF: November 15th @ 11am
Join us at 11am to volunteer at the HVAF of Indiana! Volunteers help the veterans "shop" for food, clothes and hygiene by using a point system. If interested, then please sign up by using this link.
